In this post I share my recipe for my favorite chocolate peanut butter banana smoothie. I love to make this smoothie as a healthy snack for myself and also for my kids. It may taste like a treat but it offers a lot of good nutrition too!

Why This Smoothie is so Delicious
If you are a fan of chocolate with peanut butter, you will appreciate this chocolate peanut butter banana smoothie. I absolutely love chocolate and peanut butter together! Is anyone else out there into this heavenly combo? Banana naturally tags along well with these two favorite ingredients.
The Nutrition Facts
This recipe makes two servings. If you are quite active, this smoothie will provide you with much needed sustaining energy. It would also work well in place of meal if you need something quick and healthy; to make it a meal just serve it as one large smoothie for yourself, instead of dividing it into two portions.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie Ingredients
One of the things I like about this chocolate peanut butter banana smoothie is that the ingredients are simple. There are not a lot of extras, and yet it still offers so much good nutrition for your body.
The Greek yogurt provides a nice smooth and creamy texture to this recipe. Both the yogurt and milk add a total of 209 mg of calcium per serving. It is also notable that this smoothie provides 448 mg potassium and 149 mg phosphorus per serving.
Cocoa powder is the source of chocolate in this recipe. Did you know that cocoa powder is a source of fiber? One tablespoon of cocoa powder adds a total of 2 gm of fiber to the recipe. Cocoa powder is also a source of magnesium.
The frozen banana in this smoothie helps to thicken it. If you use a fresh, room temperature banana, you will end up with a thinner smoothie and it won’t be cold like you would expect a smoothie to be. Make sure you use a ripe banana as this adds perfect sweetness to the smoothie.
Honey adds some additional sweetness; you can always adjust how sweet your smoothie is to your preference.
Quick Tips
If you like your smoothies extra cold, serve it over ice. If you want it to feel more decadent, add some whipped cream and cinnamon on top! Ooo lala!
